The
Poker Hall of Fame is inducting one new member in 2009,
and what a one he is. Mike "The Ambassador of Poker" Sexton
becomes the 38th member of the Poker Hall of Fame, becoming
the only member of the nine finalists this year to garner
induction. The remaining eight candidates, who were under
consideration this year, remain eligible for future consideration.
Sexton will be inducted officially on Saturday, November
7 in the Brasilia Ballroom at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino
in Las Vegas during the finale of the 2009 World Series
of Poker Main Event championship ...
The
Cincinnati Bengals began their preparations for their AFC
battle against the San Diego Chargers this week on a somber
note. Chris Henry, the Bengals talented but troubled young
wide receiver, died from injuries he suffered after he
fell out of the bed of an SUV. He was 26-years
old. At the time of his death, Henry left behind three children
and a woman whom he was to marry next spring. A tragic accident
for sure, Henry's passing has gripped the small fraternity
known as the NFL. His death has hit the hardest in the lockerrom
where his former teammates still dwell. Bengals' wide receiver
Chad Ochocinco, formerly known as Chad
Johnson, who was particularly close to Chris
Henry, was visibly moved to tears when describing
his former teammate earlier this week in a television interview ...
